Ticari Dışa Açıklık, Ekonomik Büyüme ve Doğrudan Yabancı Yatırımlar: Seçilmiş Orta Doğu ve Kuzey Afrika Ülkelerinden Kanıtlar

Öz
Uluslararası ticaret ve Doğrudan Yabancı Yatırımlar (DYY), özellikle gelişmekte olan ülkelerde ekonomik büyümenin önemli katalizörleri olarak kabul edilmektedir. Küreselleşen ekonomilerde DYY ve uluslararası ticaret, rekabeti artırmakta, uluslararası piyasalarda teknoloji transferini kolaylaştırmakta ve ekonomik büyümeyi teşvik etmektedir. Bu noktada, kalkınma sürecinin kilit bileşenleri olarak ticaret ve DYY, dünyanın birçok ülkesinde ekonomik büyümeye giderek daha önemli katkılar sağlamaktadır. Bu çalışma, seçilmiş on Orta Doğu ve Kuzey Afrika (MENA) ülkesinde (Cezayir, Mısır, İsrail, Lübnan, Fas, Suudi Arabistan, İran, Libya, Malta ve Tunus) ticari dışa açıklık ve DYY’nin ekonomik büyüme üzerindeki etkisini panel ARDL yöntemi ile incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Veri kısıtı nedeniyle on MENA ülkesi analize dâhil edilmiştir. Analiz 1990-2023 dönemini kapsamaktadır. Ekonomik büyüme bağımlı değişken, ticari dışa açıklık, gayrisafi sabit sermaye yatırımı ve DYY ise bağımsız değişkenler olarak modelde kullanılmıştır. Bulgular, seçilmiş MENA ülkelerinde uzun vadede ticari dışa açıklık ve DYY'de meydana gelen artışın ekonomik büyümeyi artırdığını ortaya koymaktadır. Bulgulardan hareketle MENA ülkelerinde ticari dışa açıklık ve DYY'nin ekonomik büyümeyi teşvik etmede etkili olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
