Psikolojik Danışmanlık Eğitimi Bağlamında Fizyolojik Psikoloji Öğrenmelerinin Derinlemesine İncelenmesi: Bir Durum Çalışması

Özet

Psikoloji, popüler bilgilerle birlikte yanlış inanışların en yaygın olduğu alanlardan biridir. Yetkin psikolojik danışmanların karar verme ve müdahale becerilerini geliştirebilmeleri açısından fizyolojik psikoloji ve nöropsikoloji bilgisi kritik öneme sahiptir. Bu çalışma, Rehberlik ve Psikolojik Danışmanlık lisans öğrencilerinin fizyolojik psikoloji konularına ilişkin öğrenmelerini incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Araştırmaya 21 psikolojik danışman adayı katılmıştır. Katılımcıların fizyolojik psikolojiye ilişkin kavram yanılgılarını belirlemek amacıyla nicel ve nitel veriler birlikte analiz edilmiştir. Bulgular, katılımcıların fizyolojik psikolojiye ilişkin bazı doğru bilgilere sahip olduklarını; bununla birlikte belirli mitler ve yanlış bilgilere de inandıklarını ve bazı katılımcıların verdikleri yanıtların doğruluğundan emin olmadıklarını göstermektedir. Bu durum, psikolojik danışman adaylarının insan doğasına biyopsikososyal bir bakış açısıyla bütüncül bir perspektif geliştirmelerini engelleyebilir. Çalışmanın bulguları doğrultusunda, psikolojik danışman eğitiminde davranışın biyolojik ve fizyolojik temellerini kapsayan bütüncül bir yaklaşımın rehberlik ve psikolojik danışmanlık eğitimine dâhil edilmesi önerilmektedir.
