Çevre Eğitimi Alanındaki Makalelerin Web Of Science Veri Tabanına Dayalı Bibliyometrik Analizi (Bibliometric Analysis of Articles in Environmental Education Based on Web Of Science Database)

In this study, it was aimed to determine trends by analyzing scientific articles published in the field of environmental education in terms of bibliometric indicators. The study was conducted with bibliometric analysis technique in screening model. The scanning range of bibliometric data taken from the WoS database produced by Clarivate Analytics covers the period between 1977 and December 2020. In the analyzes, it was seen that out of 68.886.210 studies registered in the WoS database, 2629 were related to environmental education. It has been determined that the most common type of publication on environmental education is articles with 1660 studies. In the bibliometric analysis of the articles, study categories, distribution by years, research patterns, samples, data collection methods, publication languages, distribution by country, authors, citation, published journals, authors' institutions and supporting funds were examined bibliometrically. It is seen that 62% of the articles have been published in the last six years. It is the descriptive model of the most preferred research model at the rate of 74%. Documents were examined in 63,8% of the publications as a sample. Qualitative methods were used to collect data in 82% of the studies. Researchers from 94 different countries have contributed to the field. In this context, the most active countries are Brazil with 413 publications and the United States of America with 302 publications. It is seen that the articles written by 3269 authors in 1511 institutions were published in 565 journals.
