The aim of this study is to adapt the Green Strategic Leadership Scale, which has been validated in the international literature, into Turkish and to examine its psychometric properties in the Turkish context. The growing impact of global environmental challenges has heightened the importance of leadership approaches that integrate sustainability into strategic decision-making processes. In this regard, green strategic leadership represents a holistic leadership perspective that encompasses leaders’ abilities to anticipate environmental opportunities and threats, adapt to changes, and integrate environmental knowledge into organizations. The research began with a forward–backward translation process to ensure linguistic equivalence of the scale, followed by data collection from 211 university employees. The dataset was analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and reliability tests. The findings demonstrated that the three-dimensional structure of the scale (green foresight, green adaptive, and green absorptive capabilities) was preserved in the Turkish sample. Factor loadings ranged between 0.79 and 0.98, while Cronbach’s alpha values were between 0.964 and 0.981. Additionally, average variance extracted (AVE) values exceeded 0.80, and Heterotrait-Monotrait (HTMT) ratios remained below 0.68, confirming both convergent and discriminant validity. Consequently, the Turkish version of the Green Strategic Leadership Scale was found to be a reliable and valid measurement instrument for both theoretical and practical research. This study addresses the lack of measurement tools in Turkey’s green leadership literature and provides a practical instrument for organizations to evaluate leadership competencies in the context of environmental sustainability.
