Bayrak ve Sancak Sevgisinin Kazandırılmasında Sosyal Bilgiler Dersinin Önemi (The Role of the Social Studies Course in the Evaluation of the Flag and Starboard Love)

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the importance of the social studies course in gaining the love of flag and flag, to consult the opinions of teachers on this subject and to examine the subject in this direction. In our research, firstly, the historical values of the flags belonging to the Turkish nation and the definitions related to the study were included. After the theoretical part of the study was completed, a semi-structured interview form was prepared to get the teachers' opinions. There are four questions in the semi-structured interview form which will be applied to teachers. Fifty-five social studies teachers working in Malatya constitute the study group of the study. The findings of the study, which was conducted with the descriptive survey model, were evaluated objectively and modeled using the NVivo10 program. As a result of the study, it is concluded that social studies teachers see their branches as the main course in transferring the love of flags and flags, and at this point, they consider the gains of the social studies course as generally insufficient. It has been seen that the social studies course has a large share in the transfer of flag and flag love. It was also understood that it was necessary to take an even more active role in the transfer of these values.
